Netflix users ‘cancel subscriptions’ as explicit clip from show infuriates fans

Netflix’s saucy new show Supers * x has left viewers fuming after a racy new clip was shared on the streaming platform.

The streaming giant posted a brief scene from the Italian series on Instagram, which led to complaints about its explicit content. The short video showed the show’s star, Italian actor Alessandro Borghi, getting cosy with several scantily dressed women.

However, the clip vanished from Netflix US’s Instagram account after a few hours. However, it’s not clear if it was removed due to complaints or negative feedback.

Fans shared their complaints online

The series, based on the life of famous Italian adult actor Rocco Siffredi, has already upset some Netflix subscribers. People criticised both Netflix for releasing Supers*x and Instagram for allowing the clip to be posted.

In the clip, Borghi is seen shirtless on a red sofa with a scantily clad woman on his lap, while other women surround them. Even though Borghi and the woman were moving up and down, it wasn’t clear that they were doing anything raunchy, and all of the characters seemed to be dressed, even if just a little.

But fans have taken to social media to complain, blasting both Netflix for airing the show and Instagram for allowing it to be shared on their platform. Heading over to X formerly known as Twitter, one fan said: “Now we have p*rn on Netflix as well? Cancelling account while we speak, my kids can’t see this.”

Another penned: “Are we just making p*rn mainstream now? It’s pretty sickening that there’s no warning on explicit content like this.”

A third said: “What the hell. Isn’t this inappropriate for a platform where KIDS FOLLOW YOU?!”

While another annoyed fan said that the raunchy clip may not help those who have suffered from p*rn addictions. The user wrote: “Imagine being an ex p*rn addict for some years now and then you open instagram and see this, it can definitely trigger something in the back of your mind to just go watch a little bit and then your back to where you were. Thanks to ‘Netflix and chill’ here.”
