In a surprising turn of events, a Florida woman has been charged with bribery after allegedly attempting to offer s*xual favors to three deputies in exchange for leniency regarding her DUI.
Arielle Engert, 24, was stopped by police in Pinellas County at approximately 2:48 a.m. on Monday. According to police reports obtained by The Smoking Gun, Engert exhibited signs of intoxication and subsequently failed a series of field sobriety tests. The officers then placed her under arrest for driving under the influence.
In an unexpected move, Engert allegedly proposed to deputy Brian Sudbrink that she would perform s*xual favors in exchange for him overlooking her DUI charges. Deputy Sudbrink, maintaining his professional duty, declined the offer and transported Engert to the Pinellas County Jail for further processing.
Upon arrival at the jail, Engert was subjected to a routine search by deputies Obed Munoz and Eric Biddle. During the search, deputies discovered a small bag of illegal substance concealed in her bra and another one in her purse.
