At 20 years old, Ruby started an OnlyFans account in a bid to make some extra cash after she went through a bad breakup during coronavirus lockdowns.

The subscriber-based platform allows users to pay for content that creators share, and as Ruby familiarized herself with what both she and OnlyFans had to offer, she realized there was serious cash to be made thanks to the custom content she was willing to make for her subscribers.

However, unlike many content creators who don’t know their subscribers, Ruby’s success in custom content actually began to take off thanks to a former partner.
Per Yahoo! Lifestyle, Ruby explained: “I was with this boy in high school who I was head over heels in love with, but as most high school relationships go, we drifted apart when he moved away.

“I hadn’t talked to him for a few years before he reached out on OnlyFans.”
Ruby initially thought her old flame was joking when he reached out, but he soon started asking for custom content to be made just for him, and Ruby was happy to oblige.

“Honestly, I was flattered that he was still thinking of me and still wanted me,” she recalled.
“I loved it! He wanted all sorts of videos of me doing explicit things and moaning his name while I did it. At one stage, he was spending about $1500 a week on my content.”

The man’s dedication helped boost Ruby’s income, and now a number of people she knows in real life are the ones who ‘request custom content the most’.
Discussing some of the unusual requests she gets from subscribers, Ruby revealed that ‘a lot of videos are requested of me moaning their names’.

That’s not the only thing people want from Ruby, though, as she continued: “I had one guy who supported me all through COVID that just wanted videos of me dancing in my backyard with socks on and then slowly peeling off the wet, dirty socks.”
It’s thanks to these kinds of requests that Ruby earned $1 million in her first year on the platform, but the content creator has warned that it’s not necessarily an easy moneymaker.

She admitted that at times she can feel ‘uncomfortable’ fulfilling some of the requests, for example, when people ask her to address ‘mean’ messages to them.
“I’m not good at being mean to people,” Ruby said. “But if people are paying good money for me to speak to them badly, who am I to refuse?”
